CST Award for Best Artist-Technician to:

Jonas Rudels & Jacob Ilgner – sound engineers and Andreas Franck & Bent Holm – chief sound editor and mixer of Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness.

In front of a packed house at Publiciscinémas, the CST – Commission supérieure technique de l’image et du son – presented its 2022 CST AWARDS to the winners announced at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.

The sound team for Ruben Östlund’s film Triangle of Sadness, Palme d’Or 2022, Jonas Rudels and Jacob Ilgner – chief sound operators and Andreas Franck and Bent Holm – chief sound editors and mixers, received the CST Award for Best Artist-Technician, from Angelo Cosimano, President of the CST.

Marion Burger, Chief Decorator on Léonor Serraille’s Un petit frère, is the second winner of the CST Award for best young female film technician. CST vice-president Claudine Nougaret, accompanied by photographer Carole Bellaïche, presented her with her prize, a beautiful silver print of one of her works, framed by Circad.

Created in 2021, the CST Award for best young female film technician at Cannes Film Festival gives visibility to the high-quality cinematographic work produced each year by young female technicians. For its second edition, four candidates competed for the prize among the crews of the 23 French films in the official selection: that’s 4 young women out of 92 heads of post.
